De herkomstgeschiedenis van deze ets is niet sluitend. Deze ets werd op 6 april 1943 ter veiling gebracht bij veilinghuis Mak van Waay in Amsterdam door J.H. Swart. De prent werd gekocht door kunsthandel W. Oncken uit Oldenburg. Het is onbekend waar, wanneer, van wie of onder welke omstandigheden J.H. Swart deze ets verworven heeft. [nl]
