Since this painting was bought during the war from a dealer whose identity remains unknown despite extensive provenance research, its provenance is uncertain. Consequently, the acquisition of the painting by Mulder on the Italian island Capri also cannot be verified.
De herkomst van dit schilderij is niet helder, omdat het in de oorlog is aangekocht van een handelaar die, ondanks uitvoerig herkomstonderzoek, onbekend is gebleven. Hierdoor is ook Mulders verwerving van dit schilderij op het Italiaanse eiland Capri niet te verifiëren. [nl]
