Research findings

Where this painting was between 1935 and 1984 is not known. The label on the reverse suggests that it had once been owned by a German person or organisation.

A label on the reverse of the painting states: 'OFFICE SUISSE DE COMPENSATION Service de la liquidation des biens allemands No. 0039'. This body supervised property of German companies and organisations in Switzerland after 1945. Inscribed on the back of the frame is: Roselh 438.
Het is niet bekend waar het schilderij zich bevond tussen 1935 en 1984. Het etiket op de achterzijde van het schilderij doet vermoeden dat het hier om voormalig Duits bezit gaat. [nl]

Op de achterkant van het schilderij is een etiket aangebracht met de tekst: OFFICE SUISSE DE COMPENSATION Service de la liquidation des biens allemands No. 0039. Deze organisatie beheerde na 1945 de geliquideerde tegoeden van Duitse bedrijven en organisaties in Zwitserland. Op de achterzijde van de lijst is te lezen: Roselh 438. [nl]
