Research findings

Who turned this pendulum clock in to the police during the war in no longer known; it is possible that the object was once the property of a Jewish owner.

During the Second World War, a 'woman living on the Boulevard' brought this pendulum clock to the former local police station on Balastkade in Vlissingen. When the police moved to Breestraat, it was found in the archive. In 1977, the police gave the clock to the museum.
Het is onbekend wie deze pendule tijdens de oorlogsjaren heeft afgegeven op het politiebureau. Het kan niet worden uitgesloten dat dit object afkomstig is uit voormalig joods bezit. [nl]

De pendule is in de Tweede Wereldoorlog door 'een mevrouw, woonachtig op de Boulevard' afgegeven op het bureau van de voormalige gemeentepolitie in de Balastkade in Vlissingen. Na de verhuizing van het politiebureau naar de Breestraat is het in het archief terechtgekomen. In 1977 is de pendule door de politie aan het museum overgedragen. [nl]
